Think of all those times you found yourself talking back to whatever you were reading. Maybe you yelled at a character. Maybe you offered sympathy. Maybe you had a simple conversation. You know you’ve done this at least once. Put it to good use.
Write a letter poem to a character who’s haunted you, made you laugh, made you cry, or made you insanely irate.
Make the title Dear _______
Do not sign it!
